Save Santa Cruz: Mission Statement

Save Santa Cruz exists to hold the system accountable to its own rules, and to the people it serves. Save Santa Cruz is not a political action committee. We are not organized to elect candidates or to pass legislation. Our focus is on the rules that already exist: understanding them, documenting how they are applied, and holding public institutions accountable when required processes are not followed. We are not trying to rewrite the rules. We are working to make sure the rules already on the books are followed. Our purpose is simple: follow the record, follow the law, and make sure public decisions withstand public scrutiny.

California is using a broad brush where a fine point is needed. Housing policy must account for the communities it is reshaping. “ Never give in, never give in, never, never, never… ” — Winston Churchill, 1941 Sign the petition. Add your voice.
